David Bowie - Suffragette City
This song was originally released in 1972 on ‘The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars’ at the height of Bowie’s career. It was a direct influence on the punk rock movement later that decade, which has in turn influenced New Wave, Grunge, and Alternative music today. It’s personally my favorite song by him.

Something Left To Give - The Starting Line
Written by the band for their fans, and completely true to where they stood on breaking up. Because in terms of where they were in their career when they stopped, it is obvious that when they come back, they’ll have something left to give.
“To all those who love me so much, I’d like to return the favour and have something left to give”

Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see.

It doesn’t matter much to me.

John Lennon - Happy Xmas (War is Over)
With Yoko Ono, The Plastic Ono Band and the Harlem Community Choir
It was 29 years ago today that John was taken from us, and given that it’s the holiday season, this seemed to be a fitting tribute.
